SDA Introduces Acclaimed Writer Michele Gazzolo and Her Series, “I Could Go On”

Smith-Dahmer Associates is proud to announce an addition to our website: an original series of short essays delving into the consumer psyche in a style that is both whimsical and extremely relatable.
As Smith-Dahmer Associate Lauren Holderness puts it, “Michele’s unique portrayal of everyday life is humorous yet extremely insightful. Sometimes when you read her stories, you feel like she has been an observer in your home!”
In Michele’s words: “I see storytelling as an enticing and powerful way to reveal the intricacies of how people think, feel and act. My pieces are designed as provocations: to make people think differently about something they had not noticed.”
Michele is a cultural anthropologist and writer residing in Southwest Michigan. Most recently, her work has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, the Yale Journal for Humanities in Medicine, and the Williams Alumni Review.
The first article in the series, entitled “Pluck Takes the Cake,” explores the changing mindset of the American consumer in an age where making do may be the new having it all. The series can be found on our website.
